This used to be part of the royal cuisine in Vietnam, 

but since we lost our last king a long time ago,

most of their dishes have long been forgotten

This is often served at weddings or large Birthday and can be served in place of the cake.

The filling can be both savory or sweet.

This one has a savory filling suited for the main course or as a side dish
